Ladies and gentleman, I talked to *NSYNC. I only got JC Chasez and Chris Kirkpatrick, but JC’s my favorite, anyway. Lance Bass, Justin Timberlake and Joey Fatone were busy on another phone call, but it was like they were with me anyway. It’s like they are always with me.

REAL Detroit: Since I’m from Detroit, if you guys were a rock band what would the name of your band be, what instrument would you all play, and who would only be allowed to play the triangle?

Chris Kirkpatrick: Lance!

JC Chasez: Who would only be allowed to play the triangle?

CK: The triangle is for Lance.

JC: Okay, Lance gets the triangle. Um, what would our name be, dude?

CK: It would be *NSUCK!

JC: There you go, that would be our name for a rock band.

CK: You know, that guy who always runs up on the speakers and just jumps, that nobody knew was ever in the band and just kinda carries around a couple instruments. JC would be him.

JC: You wouldn’t play an instrument?

CK: I’ll play guitar; I think JC would play keyboards.

JC: I’d either play keys or bass.

CK: Yeah, and Justin would play probably guitar and Joey would play the drums. Lance would probably make his triangle a circle though.

RD: Have you guys ever noticed that none of your songs have girls’ names in them?

CK: We actually had a track that is just girls’ names.

JC: Oh man, you just put a nail in the coffin. We did a song, I’m gonna tell you this, this is really funny that you said this. It never made the record, but we did a song five years ago …. Alright, should I tell the funny story or should I …?

CK: Yeah, tell the funny story.

JC: So we did a song that had like 10 girls in it and every time the chorus came we’d sing two different names in the chorus to make it like whatever, and when we were first starting out, man, Joey sang this song to a girl because her name was in the song, trying to impress her, and we all busted him and we clowned him for so long.

CK: Actually until today.

JC: We still give him crap about it today.

RD: I talked to Gene Simmons from Kiss about you guys last week and ….

CK: That’s a great conversation starter. I’m sorry, go ahead.

RD: He actually gave you props for what you’ve accomplished.

CK: You know, we’re huge fans of theirs. We’ve been to their shows a couple times last year. They’re another one of those groups that, not only were they a great band, but they had great music.

JC: They were entertainers.

CK: I mean their marketing, too, with the makeup, and now they’re selling more products than ever. It’s crazy!

JC: Yeah, they have more crap out than we do!

CK: But what was your question, are you there? Caller?

JC: Bueller?

CK: Cricket, cricket.

JC: Bueller, Bueller?
