I was one of the lucky people who got to attend Nsync's Challenge for the Children III in Las vegas last summer. For the first day of the event, The Celebrity Skills Challenge, my friend and I had some great seats! We were 5 rows off the floor, right behind the Knights benches. I knew that Chris was on the Knights team, so I was very excited! Well, at one point during the day, Joey was talking to the crowd, and he said that they needed 5 fans to go down onto the floor for a contest. I was sitting right on an aisle, and noticed the guy picking people walking up our section. When he got right next to me, I grabbed onto his arm and begged him to let me go down. I was dressed in a lot of Nsync gear, and I guess he saw that I was a big fan so he let me go down. I instantly ran to where Chris was. he was sitting on the floor, right in front of where all the judges were. I waled up to him and shook hi! s hand, and started to talk for a minute when I was told by a lady to sit down. Chris patted the floor right next to him, so I sat there. As I was sitting there with him, I asked if he knew what the contest was. Now, when I went down there I expected it to be something to do with Basketball, since that was what the whole day was, but no, it was a dancing contest! When he told me that, I got REALLY nervous.
There were two girls that went before me, and then it was my turn. The music they played was kinda slow, but had a little bit of a beat to it too. Joey came over to me, and helped me up off the floor, and then while holding hands, he escorted me out to the middle of the court. He felt that I was shaking a little bit, and told me that I would do good and stuff, just basically trying to make me feel better. He announced my name to the crowd, then told me that I had 10 seconds to show off my best dance moves. When the music started, the only thing I could think of doing was the Pop dance, so I did! Everyone went crazy, and Chris was doing the "raise the roof" hand motions. I got a really good score from all of the judges, including Chris who gave me a 91! The highest you were supposed to beable to get was a 10. lol As Joey escorted me back to where I had been sitting, Chris stood up and gave me a big hug and told me that I did a good job. Then I sat back down next to him un! til the contest was over. As I was leaving the floor to go back to my seat, Chris came up to me and gave me another hug, and I almost started to cry because I didnt want to leave him! lol I will never forget that day for the rest of my life! I can actually say that, I have danced FOR Nsync! =)
