Crazy Kid: Yeah indeed he is. You guys know him from the super group Nsync. Ahh he’s going to be hosting the Miss teen USA Pageant tonight on CBS. Ladies and Gentlemen, MR. Chris Kirkpatrick.

Ruben: Hey all.

CK: That was a pretty big introduction.

Kid: What up man? How you doing?

CK: Good. How’s it going?

Kid: Dang, we’re doing really good. Now, now hang on a second. We’ve been trying to get interviews with you guys for years and years and years and years and years, to no avail. What, what makes you grace us with your presence here this morning?

CK: Um, I think we just picked your name out of a lottery.

Kid and Ruben laughing.

Kid: This is really great because I feel like I just won the Seventeen Magazine get a chance to talk to Chris Kirkpatrick contest. Oh My God. This is so cool. Hey Chris actually you’re going to be hanging out with a lot of ladies tonight, uh Miss Teen USA goes down.

CK: Yeah, I’m actually co-hosting with Willa Ford.

Kid: Willa Ford. Dang she wants to be bad.

CK: Well you know it’s kind of funny that I got, you know, she’s so beautiful. And then I’ve got like every state sends like the most beautiful teenage girls that they’ve got, you know. And there’s me, with 51 teenage girls and Willa Ford. (Kid: Damn)It’s not a bad gig.

Kid: You know, maybe you can give Ruben a little bit of advise on how to handle this, because you seem to have a little more self control then Ruben does around the young girls.

CK: Uh, well basically they’ve locked me in my hotel room. And they won’t let me out, so, I go out for the rehearsals and then they escort me back to my hotel room.

Kid: I mean dude, on the real, think about this, just for a quick second. And most guys feel the same right now, you can relate to this. Imagine being a part of the biggest band in pop history. Where you’ve got beautiful women, and quite frankly, beautiful girls too, throwing themselves at you. They don’t make girls like they used to when we were in high school bro.

Ruben: Hell no.

Kid: These 15, 16, 17 year-olds look like they could be 22, 23. How do you stay out of trouble?

CK: Uhh, Check ID’s.

Kid: You really honestly have to do that. Don’t ya?

Chris laughing.

Ruben: Yo, kinda like the hundred dollar bill, where you kinda, have to like put it up to the light. And look for the...

Chris: (interrupting) Yeah look in the light for the uh strip, yeah.
Kid: Exactly. Rub the little yellow marker over the top of it, to make sure it doesn’t change colors and stuff.

CK: Yep. Yeah we have a little yellow marker we rub over everybody when they come in.

Kid: But I mean, bro, you’ve got a lot to lose. If you were to get into a scandal with something like that. There’s way too much to lose, to even risk it. Is that something you really, honestly, have to keep in the forefront of your mind, all the time. Is how old are these girls?

CK: Oh man, there’s a lot you have to keep in the forefront of your mind. I mean, you know, luckily, I got in here late two nights ago. And it’s just been, it’s been all work. You know, I mean, this thing has been all rehearsals, all work so far. So, I haven’t even had time to think about everything else. And then of course tonight, you know we’ve got the show. And then I have to flight straight to New York for the VMA’s. So’ it’s gonna be, you know, it’s a lot of work. As much eye candy as there is, you know, it’s I’ve gotta focus on the work right now.

Kid: We’re talking to Chris Kirkpatrick from Nsync right now. Now Chris man, what cha gonna do, dude, when the swimsuit competition is on man tonight? Dude what’s up?

CK: Well the hardest thing about it is that I’m introing that. You know, and I have to stand there and act like, you know, oh no I’m not biased. I’m just the host.

Kid: Hey Chris you better hope that that’s the hardest thing about it.

CK: *Laughing* Yeah

Ruben: Hey baby, would you like to come and speak into the flesh-a-phone?

All laugh some more.

Ruben: Oh boy, we’re gonna get in trouble man.

Kid: OH man that’s tonight on CBS. You can check it out, it’s the Miss Teen USA Competition from South Padre Island, too. They throw you down there

CK: It’s in South Padre Island in Texas. And if anyone knows anything about Spring Break and stuff, this place is crazy.

Kid and Ruben: Wow.

Kid: Hey Dude, what’s going on with everybody man? We’re hearing about Lance, he’s doing his whole space thing. Are they ever going to pay for that, cause they keep going back and forth about how they haven’t paid yet, and the Russians and him? It’s almost like, it’s crazy.

Ruben: It’s like you know, going down to Tijuana, and like, kinda like harassing somebody to lower their price for a serape.

Chris laughing.

CK: Or in Cancun, haggling for a hammock.

Kid and Ruben: Exactly.

Kid: You know how we do. So, he’s getting ready for the whole space thing, and Justin’s off doing his solo thing. And what else is going on with the band?

CK: Well, Joey’s up on Broadway right now doing Rent.

Kid and Ruben: Oh Really?

CK: Yeah he’s in the production of Rent. And JC and I are just, kind of, you know, being weasels, and running around writing music, and taking vacations.

Kid: Spending your money. I can imagine you walking down the street, there’s probably just hundred dollar bills flying out your back pocket, bro.

CK: Oh easily, yeah right.

Ruben: Now Chris, what’s the nicest toy you have bought with your earnings homeboy?

CK: I’m, you know what, I’m not a spender. Like I just got a new house. I’m not really, you know I put most of my stuff. Like, into my house. Or, you know, I’m building a nice studio. I’ve got, you know, nice things in my house, but there’s really nothing, you know major. I don’t wear any jewelry. I don’t wear, you know I’ve got like $8 earrings, and $9 necklaces. You know, there’s nothing really that, I’m not to Gawdy with my money. I’ve got a financial advisor, so tight assed, that you know I can’t even. My joke about my financial adviser is I have to call him if I want to Supersize.

Kid: You know what, though that’s a good thing though man. Cause I mean to many times, people they get the quick hit, they make a lot of money, and then they blow it, they don’t know how to handle it.

Ruben: Like Hammer. Like MC Hammer.

CK: Well hopefully, when they do, if they ever do the “Behind the Music” on us. You know they’ll show me still sitting pretty and happy about everything. And, maybe Joey will be in the poor house, or in my guesthouse, or something. But, you know, everybody should be alright.

Kid: I hear ya, my man. Well, hey, Chris Kirkpatrick from Nsync. Hey bro, we appreciate you taking the time to call in. You’re a very cool guy too man. Thank you for being so open and upfront with us.

CK: Eh, No worries.

Kid: And it’s tonight, CBS, the Miss Teen USA Competition. Going to be going down, the Pageant.

Ruben. Yeah Little Bow Wow’s gonna perform live tonight too at the pageant.

Kid: Actually it’s not little bow wow.

CK: Yeah Little Bow Wow and this group called Play.

Kid: Hey be careful though, bro. He’s not little bow wow anymore, he’s just bow wow.

Chris: He’s just bow wow.

Kid: He might kick your ass. And then you’ll have Eminem and bow wow after ya,.

CK: Yeah that’s great. That’s all I need another feud.
