Tee up for Micah's Place
Micah's Place is the benefactor of Sheffield's at the Palace second annual Black and White Gala and Golf Classic April 2-3. The gala kicks off the event April 2 at Sheffield's at the Palace. Mingle with celebrity host Chris Kirkpatrick, founding member of the band NSYNC.
Guests will take part in live and silent auctions to bid on trips, a golf Amelia package, a dine Amelia package, honorary teammates (including Kirkpa-trick), vintage wine, rare scotch, fine champagne and more.
Enjoy complimentary cocktails from Ketel One Ice Bar, Captain Morgan, Belvedere and assorted fine wines and beer. Appetizers and desserts will be served and there will be live music for dancing.
The golf tournament is April 3 at the Oak Marsh golf course at Omni Amelia Island Plantation. Prizes for hole-in-one, longest drive, closest to the pin, best dressed and biggest cheater. The coupon book will be available for purchase the day of the tournament. The awards dinner and ceremony will be held a Sheffield's at the Palace. Complimentary cocktails and buffet dinner will be served.

Micah's Place is a Certified Domestic Violence Center and the only one serving Nassau County. The mission is to provide prevention and intervention services to victims of domestic violence and to provide education within the community to affect change in behavior and attitudes relating to domestic violence. Former 'N Sync member Chris Kirkpatrick to participate in 2011 York MS Walk

York, PA - The 2011 York MS Walk will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. April 10 at John C. Rudy Park in East Manchester Township.
Chris Kirkpatrick of 'N Sync and Nigels11 and York County native Garret Lauer, of Garret Lauer Events, will participate in the walk.
Those who register and donate to the Maintenance Management INC team will get the chance to walk with Kirkpatrick.
Lauer and Kirkpatrick are also hosting a pre-walk Black & White Attire gala from 2 to 6 p.m. April 9 at the Courtyard York Marriott, 2799 Concord Road, Springettsbury Township. All walkers who collect at least $25 in donations and sponsors for Maintenance Management INC are invited to attend.
In an e-mail message, Lauer said his motivation to participate comes from two family friends who have been diagnosed with the multiple sclerosis, an autoimmune disease that affects the brain and spinal cord.
